PIB-extra is a foundry patterns shop in Croatia, Europe. Our main advantage is a young team of developers and a few
experts with more than 30 years experience in patterns for foundry (casting) making.
We carrie a 38 years of tradition in
foundry pattern making and a constant adaptation towards market needs and demands.

Our production program includes all kinds of hand or machined molding patterns in wood, plastic and metal; for machining,
engineering and shipbuilding. In order to meet the demands of our customers we create patterns according to DIN EN 12890, with gross
dimensions up to 25 meters and 6 meters in diameter.
Our advantages are short shipping terms, in high quality, with very acceptable prices. We work
three shifts so we do what others can't - extremely short terms of product delivery!

Current company status includes 130 skilled workers in production facilities that span on 4200 m2
(plant 1 & 2). Our technical staff consists of 22 technicians well versed in workflow preparation.
PIB-extra has crossed a path from traditional foundry pattern (casting pattern) making processes towards computerized CAD/CAM workflow from 2D drawings
(AUTOCAD/DraftSight) to 3D models (SOLIDWORKS/Siemens NX) and machining of parts on CNC controlled tools.

This transition allowed us to deliver more complex and bigger patterns. It also allowed us to rationalize our workflow in order to bring
competitive prices, high quality and short delivery terms to our customers. The wooden patterns are made according to H1, H2, H3
quality, metal patterns acc. to M1, M2 quality, dependant on the number of required castings, i.e. request of the customer.
Concerning large project, customer is informed of project current state through digital imaging. Benefit for our customers is our
ability to produce foundry patterns from paper 2D sketches, casted sample or by electronic 3D part.

In last four years PIB-extra created planty foundry patterns from wood and metal on CNC controlled tools. Electronic /digital/ 3D parts are created
directly by us from 2D sketches or we obtain them from customers. This CAD/CAM procedure is far more rational and cost effective,
not to mention higher precision than through classic way of production. Quality of such
products is higher and it shortens delivery terms.
